We have partnered to provide Natural Peer Support and Traditional Path trainings to the young Alaskan employees of SOMETHINGS, who provides Statewide support for Alaska youth, by Alaska peers:

  • Introducing a free virtual peer support app connecting Alaska youth ages 13–26 with certified Alaska Peer Support Specialists for 1:1 chat and video in communities across the state.

  • Mentoring can mean talking through a hard night, hearing about a failed test, swapping favorite songs, debating a game, celebrating a win, or simply showing up for the everyday stuff. Free Peer Support Trainings Available

40-hour Natural Peer Support Trainings, required for Alaska Peer Support Certification, are scheduled monthly, and 8-hour Traditional Path Trainings, required additionally for Alaska Traditional Peer Support Certification, are scheduled regularly. These trainings are primarily available to the young SOMETHINGS employees, but also open on a limited basis to community members: apply here.
